Bookmarks for the Arts!

Made by Jessica Som and Lauren P.
Hello everyone again! This week is going to be very hot out and that means that I am going to be in a ton of dresses! Back to the subject at hand. The photo above me is the back of the bookmarks that we made to go along with the poster. Of course it is made in Microsoft Illustrator.

Made by Jessica Som and Lauren P.
The photo above is the front of the bookmark. I have a copy in my yearbook. The Crayons came from the chart/graph of the poster and the equation came from the bottom part of the poster. Yes it is mostly gray and we could have brighten up the colors more, but it is good as it is right now. It was passed out during the Arts Festival in my school and many parents gave up donations to help our cause.Do you guys like them? Well, until next time everyone-BYE BYE! I will continue working on this whenever I can.

Support the Arts!

Made by Jessica Som and Lauren Pizarro
Hello everyone! It has been a very long time since I last talked to you all. This is a poster representing the arts and how teachers from the following classes wants more arts programs for the younger generation. The classes included are Dance, Theater, Music, and Media Design. What my partner and I did was work on Microsoft Illustrator for this. The technical aspect to this is what my partner did, but I learned along the way. Everything else that is pretty and the text on the side with the chart is what I did. The whole thing came out nicely and it was printed as a huge poster for our Arts Festival event. I think everyone should learn some sort of art form at some point of their lives. I hope you all will support the arts in your area and spread the word to other schools who is lacking in the arts department but have some talented people in your lives. I hope to see you all soon!

Holiday Card

Made by Jessica Som
It has been such a long time since my last post. Hello everyone! How are you today? Are you all doing well? It is almost Christmas time, so our class had to make a greeting card. We can chose to print this out or not which I don't mind. Here is the end result. On Microsoft Illustrator, I end up drawing a girl popping out of a snowman as snow is coming down just to wish us happy holidays. It is not much I admit, but I am happy that I have created something that I can call my own.

On another note, I have been learning more about illustrator and the short cuts to help me make things easier. The way I do things now is different than how I used to do it. I am happy that I am able to work more with computers in any way that I can. I mean I still need to learn more about it, but it takes baby steps before I will be able to reach that goal.

For Those of you who read this now-have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays as well as a Happy New Year!

Video for Contest

Made by Jessica Som, Lauren, and Nacaira

Hello everyone! This is FINALLY done. This video was made by two classmates of mine and I. This was a contest for the CSTA and how computers can help us with our lives while establishing diversity. I guess our video accomplish that but with the limited time we had, we did the best that we can do. We all were relieved that its now over and we can move on to other projects. We used flash software, cameras, and movie premiere software in order to make the video and to show how we can use different mediums for our creativity. For those of you who would like to read more on the contest I would put a link here. http://csta.acm.org/Advocacy_Outreach/Other/FOC.html Also the contest is now closed, but we did our best. Good luck to us! Thank you everyone for watching or reading this post. I will see you all again soon. BYE BYE!

Latest Activity

Made by Jessica Som

Hello, everyone! I am back and back to making more stuff. These are four cards that I made during class. The blue one I made in the top left corner is suppose to be a winter theme that I made on an app. It came out very nicely. The lighter blue card on the bottom left corner as well as the the top right pink one was made in the same app but the only difference is that the cut out the middle of the card, so that people can put their own pictures inside the card to give it more of a personal feel to it. For the last one, which is the one in the lower right hand corner of the picture, it was something that I have painted on my laptop. I am very happy that I was able to make a card and print it out for sale. However, I rather make my own whenever I make gifts for those that I love. Thank you all for reading this post and I hope to see you all very soon. BYE BYE!

Six Word Story

Made by Jessica Som
(like what I made?)

Hello again everyone. I am here updating with many items today. Some of it is old while others is newer. Overall, this picture is pretty. This is a six word story where I would have to describe my life with only six words. It was hard finding the right picture and the right words to fully express my life. Less is more they say.

This is the final project that I have chosen for my final project. With this specific picture, I went on one of my walks to see if I can take pictures of things that I feel would represent me and who I am. It was difficult to find the words and the pictures. In other words, this picture was based more on the thinking side, than artistic side to say the least. You see, with every piece that I create I tend to have a story or a meaning behind everything I do or make. Part of my interactive media design class involves taking photos and making films-not just creating with a mouse and computer. Although I have done many with a computer and mouse, this piece is taken by a camera because I am getting better at angles and working with a camera. Then I added text and reforming the type of text and layout with a color that pops out while putting everything in complete balance. I love cats and is very creative, so the colors and that adorable cat come  together quite nicely. The words themselves were difficult, but in the end I feel like this is me and the words are my emotions.

Single Bloom

Made by Jessica Som
Greetings everyone! I am here again with another item that I have made. I took this picture at school while the flowers were in bloom this spring. It was beautiful how fast the flowers bloom one moment and disappear the next. However, I focus the quote on the single cluster of flowers. I thought the quote i made would be fitting for this picture.
